Flabby Arm Exercises

Exercise for Flabby Arms - Nobody likes the flabby bits at the back of the arms so this is a great exercise for targeting this area. You just need a chair to sit on and a dumbbell. If you haven't got any dumbbells then something easy to hold like a bottle of water or tin can will be sufficient.

The Method

  • Sit upright on a chair, looking ahead with your shoulders pulled back.
  • Hold your dumbbell in one hand
  • Lift your arm straight up with dumbbell now overhead
  • Slowly bend your elbow so that the dumbbell comes down behind the shoulder area and just a few inches away from your ear, taking great care not to get too close to your head!
  • To complete the exercise slowly unbend your elbow to take the dumbbell back to the start position with your arm straight
  • Remember to breathe freely
  • You have now completed 1 repetition of a 'Triceps Extension'
  • Aim to complete 10 on the same arm before proceeding to the opposite arm
  • Complete 2-3 sets
  • To add extra stability to the elbow joint you could use your free hand to gently hold the elbow region of the exercising arm

I love this exercise as you can really feel it burning the back of the arms (in a good way of course!)
